1. Reading versus preservation
- A grant or project Drive reading connection imports sources; Lab management → AI/Drive preservation configures the destination for copies and reports.
- An administrator authorizes the preservation account and creates a dedicated folder or selects one accessible to the app.
- Enable Markdown preservation, confirm data transmission and save. A folder URL alone does not prove authorization or upload success.
- Inspect pending, successful and failed preservation counts and open actual files in Drive.
2. Preservation scope and recovery
- Markdown is a readable body copy; research JSON and manifests preserve structured research information and versions.
- This does not imply preservation of uncollected large files, video or model binaries. Operational DB dumps and authentication keys are separate.
- For failures, ask the administrator to check account permission, folder access and storage.
- Do not delete originals merely because a connection exists. Verify preservation and recovery before deciding retention policy.
3. Supply research intent for AI
- Under Lab management → Research goals/AI context, record objectives, evaluation criteria, priorities and questions the report should answer.
- Collect plans and proposals through project sources and mark relevant reference material.
- Review report evidence and summaries and record where AI has inferred beyond the evidence.
- AI consultation uses collected material you currently may access; check source connection and collection status first. Data storage is not model training, and human review remains necessary.
Private reports and preserved copies
- Only-me reports are excluded from new shared lab Drive preservation. Operational recovery backups, personal downloads and existing external copies are separate.
- Moving content to Trash or disconnecting a source does not automatically delete published Notion/Drive originals.
- Before migration or cleanup, verify actual copy locations and recovery with the administrator. Feature settings are not a server backup restoration procedure.
Wiki originals and preservation status
- Wiki bodies, revisions, proposals and original images use the lab Drive store. LUNA manages the index, structure and permissions.
- Check Ready, Pending, Failed and last success in Backup. Completed analysis and a completed Drive copy are different states.
- Reconnect the existing archive account for authorization errors. Changing folders requires planning access and migration of existing files; it is not a routine retry.
- Personal AI memory, private conversations and Only-me reports have different preservation boundaries. Operational recovery requires verified DB, credentials and configuration backups; a help page cannot certify completion.
