1. Profile and photo

  1. Open the profile icon → View profile → Edit my profile.
  2. Enter relevant name, email, phone, affiliation, job title and biography details, save and check your profile homepage.
  3. In Edit my profile, use Profile photo to upload JPG, PNG or WebP and refresh to verify both profile and navigation images.
  4. Changing your username can affect your profile URL. A GitHub username is not repository authentication or an access grant.

2. Choose Korean or English

  1. Choose 한국어 or English in the header. Menus and help change language; internal navigation and searches preserve it.
  2. Copy the URL including lang=KO or lang=EN to share the selected language. Recipients still need access.
  3. Display translation does not rewrite the stored original. Use Show original and verify numbers, formulas, names and citations.
  4. On-device translation and AI copies have different requirements and allowances. Choose the appropriate workflow below.

3. English lists and low-cost translation

  1. Home, Materials, Reports and Calendar check saved translations of titles and short excerpts first. Prepared English editions remain authoritative; originals are never overwritten.
  2. Supported desktop Chrome uses free on-device translation first. Choose Enable free translation for initial setup. Results are saved privately to your account and reused for free on mobile. If the on-device API is unavailable on mobile, Chrome's own Translate menu is another free option.
  3. Choose Translate missing text with AI and review the scope and personal allowance. One execution covers at most 20 visible text segments / 6,000 characters. Failed actual executions also count; cache reads and duplicate waiting requests do not. The shared lab analysis allowance is not used.
  4. Settings → List translation settings offers Free only / Ask each time (default) / Automatic within an explicitly approved daily limit. The separate default limit of 3 executions and your personal allowance both apply, resetting at midnight in Seoul. There is no automatic upgrade to a more expensive model.
  5. AI copies can be reused by readers with access to the same source; only the first requester uses an allowance. Browser copies are private to you. Changed source text needs a fresh copy. Compare with View original and check numbers and names. Forms, links, attachments and original records stay unchanged.

Links that choose the interface language

Add ?lang=en to a URL to open it in English, or ?lang=ko for Korean. Example: https://lunalab-ai.com/workspace/bank/usage/?lang=en. Uppercase EN and KO also work. If the URL already has query parameters, append &lang=en. The selection applies before login and remains after login and on subsequent pages. The header English button adds lang=EN to the address so you can copy the English link. The marker stays in the address when navigating or searching. The Korean button or a ?lang=KO link selects Korean and keeps lang=KO on subsequent pages. Source content and access permissions are unchanged.

5. Translate material and report details

  1. Choose Read in English below a material or report title. Supported desktop Chrome translates its displayed title, body, tables, notes and analysis on-device.
  2. Use Show original to restore it, or Cancel while processing. Code, inputs, original attachments and downloads stay unchanged. No LUNA AI allowance is used.
  3. Translation options → AI-translated copy is a separate request. Review its language and transmission confirmation; current AI permission and daily allowance apply.
  4. If unsupported or unsuccessful, read the original or use the offered browser guidance. Verify research conclusions against the source.

Automatic translation in daily work and requests

  1. In English mode, supported reading areas in daily notes, My work lists/details and report requests/responses use the existing automatic translation flow. Compare View original when needed.
  2. Free on-device translation and cached copies depend on browser support, language-model availability and saved copies. Original text can remain visible while unavailable or preparing.
  3. Editors contain original text. Viewing a translation does not rewrite saved notes, GitHub content or another researcher's writing.
  4. Links, code, mentions and numbered references keep their destinations. Inspect sources and the actual outgoing preview before sharing translated content.
  5. Display language and AI generation instructions are separate. Check generation instructions for desired AI wording. Browser translation uses no LUNA AI allowance.
