1. Prepare your accounts
Prepare your university email, platform username and relevant GitHub, Notion and Google accounts. Emails need not match across services, but each account must be able to open its sources. Never put passwords or tokens in chat or reports. Choose dedicated project folders and pages, separate from personal content.
2. Register and join
- Register with the required account details and consents. If you followed an invitation, accept it after registration or sign-in.
- Otherwise, find the grant or project under Grants → Request participation. Check Notifications for the decision.
- Registration, lab membership, grant participation and child-project participation are separate. You need active access to the relevant scope.
- After approval, check filters and collection status if materials are missing. A matching author name or email does not grant access.
3. Profile versus source connections
Use View profile → Edit my profile for your name and biography and Change photo for a JPG, PNG or WebP image. A GitHub username helps identify authors; it is not repository authentication. Open your approved project under Research grants, then External source settings. If management controls are absent, ask the project lead to configure a connection.
4. Connect a small sample first
Start with one report or a dedicated project folder. Enable the connection, save and click Collect now once. Check collection time, count and status, then compare the collected body with the original under Materials. Once verified, enable periodic collection, for example every 60 minutes. Periodic collection is separate from scheduled AI report generation.
5. First-week checklist
Monday: verify membership, profile and source connections. During research: record date, author, objective, work, results, blockers and next steps in the original tool. Before meetings: check the event and material links. Afterwards: record decisions, owners and deadlines. At week-end: check collection failures or gaps and review evidence-based reports with your lead.
Daily menu and suggested reading order
- The top menu is Overview → Reports → Grants → Calendar → Materials → Researchers → Timebank → Notifications.
- New researchers can read Membership, Profile/notifications, Projects, Materials, Related GitHub work and Timebank in that order.
- Administrators should prepare membership and source connections before configuring reports, schedules, instruction templates, AI assessment, magazine and Timebank.
- Expand a topic group in the contents, choose a chapter and use its section links. Search for a task such as deposit, Only me, deadline or tags.
- Download the full guide in Korean or English; it uses the same content as the website. Missing buttons may reflect your role or disabled features.
Stay signed in and use Overview
- Select Keep me signed in when logging in on a device you control. Logout, password changes and revoked access still end access.
- On Overview, start with the magazine, popular pages and recent reports. Popularity is based on activity on pages you may read.
- Announcements and network news show previews; expand for more. The Following filter collects updates related to researchers you follow.
- Some materials, profile sections and discussions load independently. Wait or use the offered retry/full-content link instead of repeatedly reloading the entire page.
Mobile profile and chat icons
On mobile, open profile, settings and sign out from the profile icon to the right of notifications and help. The header omits your username. The left menu holds primary navigation and language selection. The floating speech-bubble icon opens conversations.
Choose your start page
- Choose Overview, Today's research, My work, Conversations, AI consultation or a specific grant/project in Start page settings on Settings or Edit profile. It applies only to your account.
- Choose a conversation list/accessible channel, or search for the actual grant/project. Saving does not navigate away; use Open now to try it.
- The logo and default platform entrance use your preference. The Overview menu, direct material/notification links and an explicit login destination still open their intended screen.
- If the target is removed or no longer accessible, the app falls back to Overview. A start preference does not grant access.
- Opening AI consultation as your start page does not submit an AI request or use allowance. Choose Overview to return to the default.
Read help alongside your work
- Select ? Help in the header to open relevant guides and search. A guide link beside a feature opens that explanation directly. Opening or searching help keeps your current form values and selections.
- On wide screens, use your working page and the right help panel together. On small screens, help fills most of the screen; Close or Esc returns to your work. Help and conversations open one at a time without clearing a message being composed on the same page.
- Search in Korean or English and read results in the current interface language. Moving to another working page automatically shows its guidance. Pin guide keeps the guide you are reading; Help for this page or the header Help button returns to the new screen guidance. Previous guide and All topics remain available.
- Navigation between working pages follows existing loading and saving behavior. Save working edits before leaving a page. Help does not automatically save your working form.
- Open in a new tab or Full help center provides a larger reading view. If loading fails, retry while keeping current inputs. Search covers public guides only; it does not search or send private research material or form contents to AI.
Ask AI about the current page
- In the right help panel, choose Ask AI. Check the current screen and AI lab in Settings, then type a question in the bottom composer. On mobile, the conversation takes most of the screen; lab selection, usage and Clear conversation are under Settings. The composer grows to three lines. While reading earlier messages, use New answer to reach the latest response. Replies follow the Korean or English interface language.
- Only your question, recent help conversation, screen type and public handbook are sent to AI. Page research content, files and form drafts are not sent automatically. Do not paste secrets or research originals into your question.
- AI permission and an enabled lab configuration are required. Only your personal AI allowance applies; shared lab analysis attempts are not used. You can stop waiting; an attempt already started may still count toward usage.
- Open the cited guides in the same panel. AI does not inspect live server state or save or modify work. Conversations are private to your account, retained for seven days, and removable with Clear conversation.
- When no answer is available, or after This did not resolve my issue, choose Review a Customer support draft. In the new tab, review the question, checked guides and AI response, add reproduction steps and expected and actual results, then choose Submit request yourself. Opening a draft does not submit a ticket.
Open mobile navigation
- On small screens, the three-line button at the top left opens a navigation panel. Notifications and Help remain directly accessible in the header.
- Choose a workspace page and language in the panel. Open Profile, Settings and Announcements from the header profile icon to the right of notifications and help.
- Close, click outside or press Esc to return. Opening and closing the menu preserves form inputs and scroll position. Save edits before navigating to a different page. Navigation, Help and Conversations open one at a time.
