1. Load a built-in template

  1. Open Reports → Generate AI research report, or create/edit a report schedule.
  2. Open the instruction template selector. Choose PI monitoring, Grant/project progress review or Researcher mentoring preparation.
  3. Load it and read the inserted text. Preserve existing instructions before loading and review any replacement prompt.
  4. Add your goals, experiments or mentoring questions. A template does not select the reporting scope or period; check those fields separately.
  5. Submit generation or save the schedule. Instructions remain subject to the common report sections and evidence/access rules.

2. Save, edit and hide personal templates

  1. Write the instructions, enter a descriptive name such as Weekly PI mentoring, and save as a personal template.
  2. Select that name in a later generation or scheduling form to reuse it. The saved list belongs to your account.
  3. In template management, edit the name or text and save. Names must be unique within your account; up to 50 templates are supported.
  4. Turn off Use in selection list to hide a template. Re-enable it to use it again.
  5. Editing a template does not update existing schedules. Open each relevant schedule, load the revised template and save the schedule. Completed reports remain unchanged.
